Traditional German Rune Reading Method

‍ ‍

What is this “traditional German rune reading method?” It is a method of reading the runes that I learned while I lived in Northern Germany way back in the early 1990’s. It is based on the individual’s Wyrd, who is being read for. The person asks a question that cannot be answered by yes or no. The Germans have several other methods for answering yes or no questions.

‍ ‍

Wyrd is a three-dimensional construct. The best way to see Wyrd is to stand in the woods in late fall and look up between the overlapping branches of several trees. It is said that this is the physical manifestation of Wyrd.

‍ ‍‍‍  The person you are reading for asks the question they need answered, then they sit up straight, hold all the runes in their hands in front of their face and drop the runes from there. The runes will hit the table and spread out in a fractal pattern that shows the person’s wyrd around the question they need answered.

‍ ‍‍ ‍

This process shows the person all the different points in their life based on the question they asked and where they will have to make choices (orlog). Think of this as the cheat code for life based around the question asked. Basically, it lets the person see what happens when they make or don’t make certain choices when the time comes. This allows the person to make the best choices to get the outcome they need.

‍ ‍‍ ‍

As with most things Northern European, it can be simply complicated or complicatedly simple. I go into a much more in-depth explanation in my book, “A Beginners Guide to the Germanic Runes”.

‍ ‍‍‍  If this sounds interesting to you and you want to learn a method of reading the runes that is not based on a Tarot layout, check out my book or follow my web/Facebook pages and look for my in-person classes in St. Louis. I may also be creating an on-line class to teach this method in 2027 or 2028.

Hope you found this blog informative and it sparked your interest in traditional Northern European traditions.
